Gems! Take the Agate Beach trail down to find shiny ocean polished gems-agates-on Agate Beach. The trail is short but somewhat steep and washed out near the bottom. You will meander down to the one sandy beach that can be found at Patrick's Point State Park. You may meet one of the many Brush Bunnies that call this park home along the way. Whales can often be spotted just off shore and seals and sealions occasionally come up on the beach to catch some sun. You can also observe the sandy geology of the cliffs that show the major uplift of this geologically active park. Check at the Visitor Center for tide times, trail conditions and to learn just "what is an agate?"
