Volunteers are an integral part of the success of Redwood Parks Association. Without the generous efforts of a knowledgeable volunteer staff, it would not be possible to offer the outstanding visitor services & educational programs that visitors have come to expect while enjoying these world class parks and public lands. That means we need YOU to help staff the many visitor centers we sponsor, especially during the busy summer season. This includes talking to visitors about the parks as well as ringing up sales in our stores. No cash register experience is necessary as we will be happy to get you started.
All volunteers go through training with the Parks to become knowledgeable about frequently asked visitor questions. Volunteers will also go through a short training with the Association to become more familiar with the products in our stores.
Volunteers receive a 15% discount on all merchandise in our stores. After 25 hours of volunteer service, you will receive a one year membership with Redwood Parks Association. Membership benefits include invitations to special events, RPA newsletter and discounts at many other National Park visitor centers across the country. Volunteers will also be recognized by the Association for the wonderful work they do.
